Finding Jesus' Love at Any Age
At Cornerstone our aim is to come alongside parents and support them in training up their children in the way they should go.
On Sunday mornings we have a nursery and Sunday school class for families with young children.
If you would like more information about the theology and our mission to bring Christ to the young hearts of Cornerstone, please click the button below.
What should I expect on my first visit?
Nursery:
Our nursery is available for the entire service for children 0-5 years.* A nursery worker will ask you to fill out a form when you drop your kid(s) off, and also add your child to our sign-in sheet. You may take a pager so the nursery staff can alert you if your child needs you. We also have a one-way window where you may peek in on your child if needed. Please feel free to communicate your care preferences to our nursery staff. They're here for you!
Sunday School:
Sunday school is available for children 4 years old through 6th grade.* Kids are an important part of our church family and we value their presence in the worship service. Children attend the beginning of the service with their parents and will be blessed and dismissed to Sunday school just before the sermon. They will then be released back to sit with their parents shortly following the close of the sermon so they can participate in communion and the rest of worship. On your first visit, we'll have a form for a parent to fill out in the Sunday school room. Feel free to grab one before the service (they are just inside the classroom door) or fill it out when you drop your kid(s) off at the beginning of Sunday school.
*You may notice overlap in the age ranges for nursery and Sunday school. We understand that every child has different needs. Children should graduate to Sunday school when they're ready for a more structured program (can sit through a short lesson) and can use the restroom without assistance.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
